The Air National Guard came to DOMANI to develop a series of augmented reality-based interactive games designed to challenge and intrigue potential recruits. The games were integrated into mobile kiosks so that the ANG could bring the experience to recruiting events across the country.

Step into service.

The "Rise to the Challenge" tour featured five separate interactive challenges, each designed to highlight a skill associated with the real-life roles performed by Air Guard men and women. The games leveraged augmented reality to test a player's mechanical, observational, and spatial aptitudes, with simulated missions ranging from stabilizing a spinal injury to refueling a B-2 before time runs out.

In the spirit of competition, top scorers were featured on a leaderboard with the all-time high scorer remaining at the top throughout the tour. Gamifying the experience kept the public engaged, and made it easier for recruiters to connect with visitors and contextualize the value of serving their country.
